Welcome to Jacqueline Creative

and Professional Services

Hi there! I'm glad you're here.
There really is a Jacqueline (well, Jacquie) behind Jacqueline Creative. (It’s not just a clever name.) Out of respect for most clients’ attention spans, I’ll tell you just a few relevant nuggets about me.

A long and winding road

I’ve spent decades and detours getting to Jacqueline Creative. After humble beginnings as the teen “weather girl” (inserting high/low temps on the back page of the Lifestyle Section at the Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader), I’ve been a law clerk, lawyer, corporate communications manager, workplace investigator, copy editor, feature writer and reporter. I realized long ago that my favorite days in each of my jobs were those when I was knee-deep in an article or an editing project. So why wasn’t I doing just this for a living? After getting over the corporate wall and taking some “discernment time” (thank you, Summer of Jacquie), I founded Jacqueline Creative so I could focus on what I truly love.

I can meet your creative needs (except sewing and painting still life).

If you have freelance writing, editing or other communications needs, Jacqueline Creative should be your first stop. (Please see my Services page for more details.) I’m very skilled in writing with any voice for any audience, making dry material interesting and making complex content accessible. I know when to be buttoned-up and when to bring my 1985 Glendale High School Class Clown (Go, Falcons!) to your project and our relationship. Take that, AI.

I can’t wait to meet you!
